Number 1 of our “Six in September” tour – tonight we’re at Johnson State College in their student cafe. We played there last March and had a great time. Apparently so did the students as they invited us back at the beginning of this school year. You never know what those crazy kids are going to like! Start time is 9:00.

On The Rise

The Roosters will be at On The Rise Bakery in Richmond, VT, on Friday, Aug. 13th from 8-10pm. It’s a wonderful, intimate venue. Come down for hearth-baked pizza and beer or wine. Oh, and twang. Then we have a couple of weeks off before we begin our September tour, perhaps our busiest month ever. More news about that on the way.

Two Nights, Two Bandstands

This week we have two outdoor gigs, 6:30 PM this Sunday, July 18 on the Rochester, VT town green, then 6:30 PM on Wednesday night the 21st in Middlesex, VT. The Middlesex gig is in the town’s bandstand near the Rumney School.

Westward to Castleton

We will be appearing at the Castleton, VT Outdoor Concert Series this Tuesday July 13 from 7 to 9 PM. We love this gig! This is the third time we’ve been invited back and we truly enjoy the hospitality and good vibes. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy some fine Rooster music and a hot summer eve.

Norwich Fair Tonight

A River Runs Through Us

Thursday, June 24th, the Roosters will be playing at On The Rise Bakery in Richmond, VT, in support of The Friends of the Winooski River. It’s time for their annual sojourn down the river (more information here) and Thursday night is the night they land in Richmond. We’ll be playing music at the bakery from 8-10pm. Come on down to the bakery and chat with some folks from this great group or just enjoy a glass and some honky tonk.

We have a full summer schedule and if you’ve ever wanted to catch the Stone Cold Roosters outdoors on a hot summer day, this is your chance! We’re playing al fresco in Norwich, Castleton, Rochester, Middlesex, Stowe, Marshfield and the Tunbridge World’s Fair in September.

In a review last December, Art Edelstein said “The Stone Cold Roosters need to take this music on the road, beyond Vermont’s borders, where it will get lots more airplay and the band gets much more recognition for its abilities.” OK, Art, we hear you. And so, we’re playing in Massachusetts! We’ll be outdoors at the Big E in Springfield, Mass, on 9/25. Be there or be an equilateral parallelogram!

Stone Cold Roosters at the Skunk Hollow Tavern This Friday

We’re going to cram the six of us into our favorite corner of the Skunk Hollow Tavern this Friday, April 16th. If you’ve paid your taxes and you have any money left, come buy a beer and enjoy some great honky tonk. It doesn’t take many people to make a full house at the Skunk so come early and stake out your dancing turf! See you there!
