Saturday night’s CD Release party at Middle Earth was a hoot and a half! The Roosters debuted their new album to a packed house. The amazing Josh Brooks warmed them up with his beautiful baritone voice and great songwriting. The Roosters played all twelve of their songs on “Out of the Woods” plus a few new original tunes, Roy Cutler’s “Snow on April” and Ted Mortimer’s “One Bad Habit”, which by the way is not associated in any way with the Catholic church.
The guys got down on Neil Young’s “Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere”, also they filled the dance floor with a rockin’ version of “Cinnamon Girl”. Colin channeled George Jones on “Treasure of Love” and Ted crooned Dale Watson’s “Truckin’ Man” loud enough to be heard at the P&H Truck Stop. The lovely Linda Boudreault took the stage for two songs and also kept the rhythm guys honest with her righteous cowbell.
CD sales were brisk and the Roosters are now several more peanuts toward “styrofoam” status.
It was reported that five of the Roosters left with Chicks…special thanks to Betsy, Laura, Sara, Linda and Lugene for attending!
